Calculation methodology

Reverberation estimates use Sabine and Eyring models, modes use the rectangular-room solution and transition frequency uses the Schroeder approximation. Material coefficients are typical values and do not replace laboratory data for a specific product.

Equations

  • Sabine: T = 0.161 V / A
  • Eyring: T = -0.161 V / [S ln(1-ᾱ)]
  • Modes: f = c/2 · √[(nx/L)² + (ny/W)² + (nz/H)²]
  • Schroeder: fs ≈ 2000 √(T/V)
